Just a big old glut of various doodles, some going back to the summer. Studies, nonsense, weird, boring, scribbly, polished - it's all there!
So I was struck down with a summer cold at the beginning of the week. Colds are always rubbish, but when the first day of your cold coincides with the first day of beautiful, warm, sunny, cloudless weather... hmmm, perfect timing. Keeping in mind that the previous week was cold enough to have the heating on (turned on with much resentment, I can assure you).
On the mend now, and knocked this up in Photoshop. It started as a warm-up doodle and got out of hand, so just going to step away from it. Grandis from Nadia: Secret of the Blue Water. That series has a weird effect on me - I never saw it as a kid (I don't know if I could have in the UK at the time), but it makes me feel so nostalgic. Harpy Gee is a gorgeous comic by Brianne Drouhard (www.harpygee.com).
I think fanart is a great way to stretch artistic muscles and see where I need to improve, but without feeling too much pressure. Very relaxing way to spend a cold, rainy evening ^_^ |
